Q. Are the masks in the galleries "really" made for the actual Pros?
A. Yes, All of the masks shown in the galleries, were painted for and worn by each specific player. The "CuJo" mask you see is actually Curtis Joseph’s mask!! The "Zilla" mask is Olaf Kolzig’s and so on. None of these masks you see are "replicas", they are the real deal.
Q. How much does it cost to have a goalie mask custom painted?
A. A custom painted mask can range anywhere from $200-$900 (US), depending on the amount of artwork, detail, complexity of the design and types of materials (i.e.: gold leaf, films etc.) that are involved. On average, most masks that leave the shop are in the $300-$500 price range.
Q. How do I go about getting a paint job?
A. To start the process, call or e-mail us with your ideas. You can have a clear-cut design idea in mind, a rough idea that you are willing to let Ron put a special twist to, or you may have a theme that you would like to explore. Maybe you saw something in one of the galleries that caught your eye? Whether it's team colors, a certain logo, or you have a special nickname, Ron can make happen.
Q. What kinds of paints are used?
A. Ron uses only state-of -the-art equipment, urethane paints and clear-coats on every mask. Your mask is guaranteed to not only look cool, but last you a long time as well.
Q. What is the turnaround time to have a custom paint job done on my mask?
A. Turnaround times are affected by the amount of other paint jobs at the time of your order as well as complexity of your design. Usually the paint job will be completed in between 2 to 3 weeks (average).
